Hanae Bekkari a étudié au Maroc l’architecture, ce qui lui a permis de bien connaître les différentes formes d’habitat et leur évolution. Très tôt, militante associative, ses investigations s’orientent vers la réconciliation des habitants avec le cadre bâti, aussi bien dans le rural, les tissus à haute valeur patrimoniale que dans les quartiers informels , et ceci, en marge de l’exercice de son métier d’architecte qu’elle exerce à titre privé, avec des projets très variés, allant d’aménagement de places publiques de résidences privées, d’établissements universitaires, d’un centre de non-voyants, et actuellement participe à la ré habitation de toute la Médina de Tanger.
